When I lived in Los Angeles I ran LA-VA (Los Angeles Video Artists), a not-for-profit community of video artists, visualists, VJs, and stage designers. We had a regular evening at Mandrake, a quite-tiny bar on La Cienega where we showcased a bunch of experimental video art, installation, and interactive projects.
